The bike pictured below was a bike my dad purchased for me when I was about 5 or 6. It was purple but my dad repainted it red. Now it's "Rusty Red!" It's still setting right outside dad's garage. He's keeping it and I hope to restore it for my first grandson - if that day ever should make an appearance! I don't really know anything about the bike. I do know that I had a great time riding it!
Taken just outside of Studio 312! Seth and I took a drive to White Oaks, NM. White Oaks is a New Mexico ghost town almost an hour from Studio 312. He snapped this photo behind the Old Brown Store. If you go there, stop in at the store, pick up a % cent piece of candy and tell Karen the Nickel Soda Pop Man said hello!
I took the picture below last week. I saw a small plane towing a glider and I pulled out my Canon camera to take it. When I loaded the picture into my iPad and looked at it I was surprised to see the bird in the photo. I didn't notice it when I took the picture. I was thinking about it and it reminded me of three kinds of people. Those who pull others along. They motivate, encourage, enable, and even sometimes fund. They have the ability to move the world in their own way. I'm guessing you can tell which plane that is. And then there are those who get pulled along under the strength and power of somebody else. They have to make the decision to release the cable, use wisdom to find the thermal columns that will lift them to new heights where they can move, travel, always at the risk of coming down. And then there are the third type of people. Those who don't care about any of that. They have the natural ability to fly and they know it. They mount up with wings, as eagles and they go places. They just do it. They don't care about the risks. They don't say, " I can't ". They don't use the word "someday". They just fly.
