THE PROJECT...As you know every week I bring you The Jason Curtman Show and I talk about how I am trying to bring back the Nickel Soda Pop and I tell you how that is not a beverage, but a concept about the way of life we use to enjoy in America. That way of life we enjoyed was in a time when human kindness was more abundant than it is apparent today! The project is to change that.
My son and I on a regular basis pick up sandwiches and cold drinks for the homeless people of Alamogordo, New Mexico! It's something we love to do and it makes us feel good. I feel good about it because when we do this I am fulfilling my mission in what I encourage everyone else to do throughout the week on the show; that is to spend quality time with our children and to set the example for them in sharing love and kindness. Alamogordo has a number of homeless men that come in and out of our area. Some of these gentlemen are veterans. Once in a while one comes with a spouse. When Seth and I bring them a bag of nourishing items their eyes light up and their expressions and sentiments of gratitude are unending. Summer is coming on and the desert air will be hot and dry! Seth and I have talked about this and we want to help supply these men with regular supplies such as bottled water, ready to eat food, hygiene items and basic toiletries, blankets the nights can get very cold here in the desert, and first aid items. Seth and I thought it would be a good idea to get others involved in this project as well. If you want to be anonymous, fine. If you really don't care if you are anonymous are not we will list your name to the right as project participants! Every Dollar Spent will be accounted for!!! |
