I think the thing with most atheist...I said most, not all, is that they do not have a disbelief in God as much as they have a hatred for him. As noted before in prior post this is due to the actions of these who claim to be His children but are not. My goal is to be a shining light, to be so bright a reflection for Christ that those in need of, and those searching for His love cannot help but see it and find it through me, the brightness of it blinding out or blocking out if you will, the influence of those who claim to be God's children but in fact are not.
I read something the other day that said something to the effect that atheist do not have to do good deeds because of a hope of heaven, they just do them. This is true but it is also true for Christians. I do not do good deeds to go to heaven and I certainly won't go to heaven because I did good deeds. I will go to heaven because of Christ's love and his ultimate unsurpassable good deed performed at Calvary. I do good deeds and try to be as kind as I can because HE who loved me has asked that I love you, and you, and you, and well....everybody.
