People know how much I love hot dogs. This is now one of my favorite places in Alamogordo, NM. What a menu and such friendly people! I had the Philly Cheesesteak dog! We need more places like this in America!
Have you ever watched the show "American Pickers?" Seth and I watched an episode last night. Early this morning I had a similar episode in my head. In my mind I had a visitor who was rummaging through the memories I had stored away. As I was presented with each piece I was asked, "What's the story behind this?" Or "How much to take this off your hands?" My responses were as varied as the collectors and hoarders that meet with Frank and Mike every week. I heard myself responding with a soft voice inside my mind, "I couldn't part with that. It means to much to me." Or, "Sure, I'll sell that" and sometimes, "You can just have that. Here, let me help you load that on the van." Memories are one of the greatest treasures God gives us. They can be wonderful and they can be painful. Most of them are what YOU make them. The worst thing a person can do is create a painful memory for someone else. I sure hope the times in life I have done that to others are minimal. I just recently rediscovered grandpas old safety razor. What a great way to shave. Best shave of ever had in my life. This is not the way to shave if you are one that is prone to get up late and rushed to work. Unless of course you like getting sympathy looks from your just recently rediscovered grandpas old safety razor. What a great way to shave. Best shave of ever had in my life. This is one of my favorite American traditions. A quick pizza. Just use a prefabricated pizza crust that you can buy in almost any grocery store, add a little sauce and mozzarella cheese. You know how to do the rest. It's one of our favorites here at studio 312 and in the Curtman household. I had a great time with the Peanutters! As you can tell - They are a great group of young people with fantastic senses of humor!
Today on my lunch break I spent some time with some great folks from Planter's, "The Peanutters" Three young people who are spreading "Peanut Power" around the country. I met, Melanie, Megan, and Tom, recent college graduates who are touring the country in one of three NUTmobiles. They were here for the opening of a new local grocery store, Albertson's!" You can hear my interview with them on the next edition of The Jason Curtman Show and later I'll post the interview here on the blog! I LOVE peanuts!!! A great American snack that brings back memories of circuses and ball games!!! My thanks to the Peanutters who made today a great day! Megan, Your's Truly, Melanie, & The Fabulous Tom! Fabulous Tom, Megan & Melanie - Showing off the interior of the NUTmobile! I want one of those jackets!!! What a fun job! 26 Feet of delicious crunchery! Even Bob Flotte of KHII Radio got in on the NUTTY fun! Getting ready to hit the road! (Check out the video below this photo) |
